Moreno Marzolla Home Page

Welcome to my personal home page. I am assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Bologna. My research interests include Grid computing, distributed systems, Performance Evaluation of complex systems and Queueing Networks.

Before joining the University of Bologna, I worked as a computer scientist at INFN Padova, Italy, on the European Union EGEE-3 project. I was part of the JRA1 activity (Middleware Reengineering), where I worked on the CREAM Computing Element for the gLite Grid middleware.

2010/02/15 Three technical reports are available: QoS Analysis for Web Service Applications: a Survey of Performance-oriented Approaches from an Architectural Viewpoint (UBLCS-2010-05), The qnetworks Toolbox: A Software Package for Queueing Networks Analysis (UBLCS-2010-04) and Optimized Training of Support Vector Machines on the Cell Processor (UBLCS-2010-02).

2010/01/25 The paper Standards-Based Job Management in Grid Systems has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Grid Computing.
